Oh Slinky!
He got out of the fence, disappeared over night, then was back in the morning!
We figured he had a great rendezvous to attend overnight, either that or he ran off to join the circus. Luckily it didn't pan out for him, so he showed up early in the morning on our front porch. (We left the light on for him).

Either way, I am finding that in a strange way, I admire him. He is about 174 years old. That, of course, being in dog years, but he is old. He has cataracts, and he is so fat he waddles like a duck.
He went out to seek adventure, no matter his condition.
I am going to have more "Slinky" days myself. More adventure, more ignoring of my age, more free-spirit-attitude.
And I will always come home, because I love it here.
