I wanted to lick the peanut butter knife after making the kids sandwich. I wanted to grab the marshmallow from the bag that was peaking out of the pantry. I sampled the casserole (just to make sure it was OK, duh) I wanted to drive to MacDonald's for a cheeseburger. I was bored. Not that I didn't have laundry to do or home school papers to check or pots to paint. So I got a scoop of dry tuna from the fridge and gobbled that up. Not enough. So I ate some almonds. Not enough. Then I made a bagel and cheese-dang, not in the diet at all. So now that I screwed up, I decided I might as well have more. I prepared dinner early and sampled that.
So what do I do when I'm FOOD BORED? What do I do when I'm in the house, with free range of the kitchen and am wondering aimlessly? I need your advice. This is one of my huge downfalls.
Anyway, here's last nights dinner-Fresh Strawberries
Savory Green Bean Casserole- 51 calories per cup, 8g Carbs

Recipes from The Low-Carb Bible. If anyone would like the recipes let me know.
Today, I will do better!!
How many time have I said that before.
I'm having coffee.
Til later...

When you fall off the wagon, you get yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on the dang wagon. Here's what you don't do: Don't beat yourself up & Don't get down on yourself. Show yourself the same grace you show others and seriously if that was the worst thing you did all day, I'd say it was a pretty good day! Love ya, Mia
Having it in the house is what gets me. If it's not there, I can't eat it - so I don't buy it. If the rest of the family rebels that all their snacks are gone, then make a snack shelf that's inconvenient for you to get to so it's no longer worth the effort to get to the 'forbidden foods.' The hard part of a diet is the more you think about what your missing, the harder it gets. I started making 1/4 c. Ricotta cheese w/ vanilla extract and a packet of Splenda as my 'ice cream fix' when my sweet tooth rebelled against the lack of desserts in the house. Planning, forgivable treats gave me something to look forward to so I wouldn't end up scrounging for foods I wasn't supposed to eat.
Pray that God will give you the self control and strength to take that desire to stuff your face away. Eat lots and lots of almonds...always have those around EVERYWHERE you go. When you get the desire to eat, drop and do 10 push ups. Next time you work hard at exercising, that quick fix bite will not be worth the effort lost.
WOW--Thanks for the help---IT IS HELPING A LOT--keep it coming!!
