"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
– Martin Luther King, Jr.
It is a tradition for our family to walk in the Unity March in downtown Raleigh, NC every year on this day to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and what he stands for. Unfortunately I wiped out in the parking lot yesterday and wounded my knee and back. So today, instead, we will celebrate with a good ole' southern soul food feast.
Here is our menu:
Southern Fried Okra
Old South Batter Bread
Southern Fried Chicken
Buttermilk Pie
