Not so much Old fashioned, but more, "Overwhelmed"

My Old Fashioned Thanksgiving isn't going so well. I've become overwhelmed at Thanksgiving even coming up. I've proclaimed -old fashioned mandatory clean-up-so why is the house still looking out of order? I've gone outside to collect greenery, my youngest broke her arm, now instead of ironing tablecloths on schedule today, I need to go to an orthopedic Dr. I sat down to write my weekly food menu as well as Thursdays menu-I got overwhelmed. What happened to my idea of spices wafting the air, me reading Little House to the family while pudding bubbled over in the stove? I'm crushed.

Meanwhile, we are getting central heat put in our house today-a great blessing-as we've all been wearing permanent goose bumps. But the man will be in my way, plus I have stuff to do places to go--I have to wait around for him?

Harris Teeter called--I get to hang over 100 tags on their tree for our annual Christmas store at church. A wonderful blessing. But I have to do it before 1pm-corporate office is coming. Now I cant organize the spices, the tea cabinet and cook the pudding.

It's starting to sound like it's all about me. Hey kids and husband and guests, what do you want our thanksgiving to look and smell like?
