How to Make a Diaper Cake...

Supplies...

Your choice of ribbon.I went with a blue color theme.

Different size rubber bands

Small bag of diapers (large for bigger cake) according to baby's size

Base for cake. This is for a real cake. You can get it at a craft store. You can also use a piece of cardboard.
Some treats for the momma!

Cool stuff for baby

Additional things that make it look good

Something exciting for the top
Roll each diaper tightly and evenly then put a small rubber band around the middle

Form a circle with the diapers. Use a large rubber band and keep sticking them in until it is the size and shape you want

I used the lollipop and the pinwheel to keep the top and the bottom together. You could use a dowel or a shish-kabob stick

You could also stuff papers in the middle to make the cake bigger

To add socks and other stuff use more rubber bands and attach to the diapers. Then wrap the ribbon around the entire cake to cover the rubber bands. I tucked in some raffia here and there.
I decided to cover the whole cake in cellophane and that is what will keep the cake on the base. I used a cellophane bag that I purchased at Michael's for 99 cents. Happy Cake Making! Let me know if you have any questions.
